Your Role and Responsibilities:

IBM/Octo, an industry-leading provider of technical solutions for the federal government, is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to spearhead the identification, qualification, and bidding of opportunities for new contracts within the Treasury Department. This role requires expertise in securing large-scale contracts, as you’ll be leading the creation of Treasury opportunities and inspiring the team working on pursuits. You will analyze client objectives, industry trends, and strategies to develop compelling, outcome-based value propositions resulting in successful bids, awards, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with various IBM/Octo departments to create customer-centric solutions.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams in developing solutions for client opportunities.
  3. Leverage IBM/Octo’s capabilities and insight, assess partnerships, and develop innovative solutions.
  4. Utilize IBM/Octo’s wide range of service offerings for Federal and Commercial customers.
  5. Develop strategies for capture teams, coordinate corporate resources, and assess competition.
  6. Infuse innovation and leading-edge technologies into bid opportunities.
  7. Coordinate with proposal development, contracts, and pricing teams.
  8. Lead the capture process, meet customer requirements, and build client relationships.
  9. Develop and implement win strategies and negotiate teaming agreements and alliances.
  10. Work with the Solutions team to develop competitive solutions that meet customer requirements.
  11. Identify gaps and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with IRS.
  • Knowledge of IRS programs and organization.
  • Federal sales experience of 10+ years.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • 5+ years of technical selling experience.
