The Microsoft Application Innovation business, a rapidly growing sector, encompasses products like Azure Platform’s Managed/PaaS services, PowerApps, and Developer Productivity tools such as GitHub and Visual Studio. Microsoft is recruiting Specialist sellers for the Application Innovation business, responsible for achieving sales goals in the dynamic and rapidly expanding enterprise market.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
✅Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field with 3+ years of tech-related sales or account management experience, or
✅5+ years of tech-related sales or account management experience
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
✅Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field with 4+ years of tech-related sales or account management experience, or
✅4+ years of tech-related sales or account management experience
✅Certification on public cloud or cloud-native/Code technologies
✅Certification/training in sales, business value selling, and consulting selling methodologies
Professional:
✅Sales or Consulting experience in data center migration or application modernization/Cloud Native projects
✅Experience selling Cloud Application Platform services, databases, Developer Productivity tools, and Low Code tools with a track record of achieving sales goals.
✅Industry knowledge of application trends in verticals like FSI, Retail, and Manufacturing is a plus.
✅Ability to sell to Chief Digital Officers, Head of Products, and enterprise solution architects.
✅Collaboration with Microsoft sales & services, System Integrator partners, and marketing.
Technical:
✅Technical passion with an understanding of cloud architectural patterns, managed/Platform-As-A-Service offerings, rearchitecting monolithic apps with cloud-native tech, databases, and modern DevOps/DevSecOps.
✅Subject Matter Expertise with one or more of the following:
✅Modernizing Java apps on the cloud (e.g., JBoss EAP, Spring Cloud, VM Ware, Tanzu, Pivotal Cloud Foundry) -preferred
✅Cloud Native tech like Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, APIs (e.g., Amazon/Google/Azure Kubernetes Service, RedHat OpenShift) -preferred
✅Enterprise Integration Services and API Management (e.g., MuleSoft) -preferred
✅Understanding of Code platforms like Power Platform is a plus
✅Experience with competitive App development services across public cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, Oracle) is a plus.
